Montagu Evans has made 16 staff promotions following its record turnover last year. Those promoted include Roddy MacLeod, who is now an associate in the firm’s Glasgow planning team; Amanda Fleming, formerly of Bellway Homes, who has been appointed surveyor in the Glasgow professional services team; and Anne Clarke, previously at Nabarro and Ashurst, who has become Montagu Evans’ new head of human resources.

WeWork City HQ for sale

Brookfield Property Partners is selling the European headquarters of US workspace provider WeWork, in the City of London. Cushman & Wakefield and Strutt & Parker have been appointed to market Moor Place, EC2, formerly known as Moorgate Exchange, for around £290m.

Prosecco bar in Bristol debut

The world’s first permanent Scavi & Ray Prosecco bar is opening at The Mall in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. The bar will occupy 1,085 sq ft on a five-year lease in the shopping centre’s central atrium.

Irish resort on offer at £20m

The Radisson Farnham Golf and Spa Resort in County Cavan, Ireland, is being offered for sale by receiver Aiden Murphy of Crowe Howarth with a guide price of €26m (£20m). The four-star hotel has 158 bedrooms and suites overlooking the 16th-century, 1,250-acre estate, with an 18-hole Jeff Howes-designed championship golf course.

Queensberry in at Sheffield

Queensberry Real Estate has been selected as preferred developer of the £480m Sheffield Retail Quarter. Sheffield council chose the company ahead of Aspire Development Management, after both had been shortlisted. Lendlease had also been shortlisted, but withdrew.
