Topland bags consent for Brighton hotel

Topland has secured planning consent for a 221-bedroom hotel from Brighton & Hove Council.

The developer has agreed a 35-year lease with Dalata Hotel Group for the property to be operated under the Maldron brand.

The hotel is located within a wider scheme on Cannon Place, including the Metropole Hotel, which Topland will refurbish.

William Davies, director of asset management at Topland, said: “The improvements throughout the entire Cannon Place development are part of Topland’s ongoing commitment to Brighton which, through long-term relationships with both Dalata and Hilton, will bring significant benefits to this key seafront location.”
