Topping-out ceremony for 3 World Trade Center

The topping-out ceremony for 3 World Trade Center took place on Thursday, the third tower to be built on the site of the twin towers in Lower Manhattan.

The latest building stretches 80 storeys high. It joins the 72-storey 4 World Trade Center and the 104-storey One World Trade Center.

Work on a fourth tower – 2 World Trade Center – has stalled amid the lack of an anchor tenant, although developer Larry Silverstein said he was confident one would be found, adding failure was not an option.
