Tories launch Home Buying Review today

Tory shadow housing minister Grant Shapps will launch the party’s Home Buying Review today.

He will say Home Information Packs would be scrapped under a Conservative government.

The party want to see the time it takes to buy a house come down from three months to one month. David Cameron, Conservative leader, said planning rules would be relaxed to make it easier for home owners to install wind turbines and solar panels.

Meanwhile, he accused prime minister Gordon Brown, in a speech at the Cardiff Business Club, of leaving infrastructure creaking in his former role as chancellor of the exchequer.
