The architects behind Cornwall’s Eden Project are proposing a £150m eco-rainforest in Lancashire which could become a tourist site to regenerate a large area of derelict land near the M6.
Architectural firm Grimsaw has withheld the site of the proposal while the regeneration group which commissioned the designs decides if it is feasible.
The project has been dubbed “Kew of the North”. The Guardian says it could become a tourist site to rival Eden.
