Town Centre Securities sells four retail assets

Town Centre Securities has sold four retail properties across Scotland and London for £35.2m.

Two Waitrose stores in Milngavie and Glasgow have been sold to Wire Oast for £23.2m, which total a combined 70,000 sq ft.

A 36,500 sq ft Aldi/Home Bargains store in Milngavie was sold to Magell for £10.66m, and a retail property let to a local florist in Chiswick was sold through auction for £1.4m.

TCS chief executive and chairman Edward Ziff said: “We have successfully navigated an extremely difficult period as a result of the Covid-19 disruption, and have continued to receive high levels of rent receipts. That said, it has become increasingly clear that we need to reset and reinvigorate the business. These disposals represent the beginning of that process.”
