Toyota is poised to choose between two sites for a new 12,774m2 (137,500 sq ft) headquarters office building.
The car manufacturer has won outline permission for both a 10.9 ha (27 acre) site at Great Burgh, near Epsom, and a 4.8ha (12 acre) business park in a housing scheme at Maidenbower, Crawley.
Great Burgh includes a laboratory complex occupied by SmithKline Beecham, which is to vacate by June this year. If Toyota chooses this option, it will develop around half the site with joint-venture partner Portland Properties.
Jones Lang Wootton is marketing the site. Toyota itself would develop the Maidenbower site.
White & Sons of Dorking is marketing the Maidenbower site. Stiles Harold Williams and Marshall Haines & Barrow are advising Toyota.
