Trammell Crow expands development team with senior hires

Trammell Crow Company has made three senior UK hires in a boost for its logistics development team.

Former JLL industrial and logistics director Matt Jones (pictured above) has joined the company as UK development director. He was in the big box team at JLL and also previously held roles at Lambert Smith Hampton and CBRE.

In his new role, Jones will identify and secure commercial development sites demonstrating the viability and target returns for investment partners.

Marcol planning director Sophie Watkin has been appointed as UK planning director, providing planning advice from site inception through to construction and occupation. Watkin’s former roles include planning director at iSec and partner at Knight Frank.

DHL Real Estate Solutions senior project manager Mike Freeley has been named as UK construction director. Before his role at DHL, Freeley was a senior project manager at Hammerson.

Mike Forster, head of UK logistics at Trammell Crow, said: “These three new senior hires will provide leadership in the core areas of logistics development and help us fulfil our rapid UK growth plan.”

The firm has also hired GL Hearn finance manager Julan Shah as an associate director and senior finance manager for financial planning and analysis in Europe.
