A group of travellers who upset residents of a Hertfordshire village by building a caravan park without permission have won the right to stay.
The travellers constructed hard standing for their mobile homes on land near Little Hadham last Good Friday. They bought the former grazing field last year for £95,000.
Villagers obtained an injunction demanding the work stop, but the travellers successfully appealed the injunction and have now won permission from a planning inspector for ten caravans and ten mobile homes on the site.
East Herts district council has pledged to overturn the ruling.
