Travelodge and pub company Marston’s have agreed to co-locate on a mixed-use project in Newquay, Cornwall.
Travelodge is planning to open a 66-bedroom hotel on a 25-year lease, subject to planning consent, towards the end of 2012. Marston’s will open a pub restaurant at Bilsdale Properties’ Newquay Business Park.
Crantock Development will develop the hotel. The scheme will be the seventh deal that Marston’s and Travelodge have agreed to work together.
Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge, said: “When we are looking to open smaller hotels. Locating with pub companies works really well for us.”
Monk & Partners advises Bilsdale; Travelodge/Martston’s was unrepresented.
