Travelodge brews Quartet of deals with pub partners

Travelodge and a trio of pub companies have exchanged contracts to buy four hotels.

 The budget hotel operator has joined forces with Greene King, JD Wetherspoon and Mitchells & Butlers to buy the assets, totalling £10.4m.

They comprise a 60-bedroom hotel in Darlington, County Durham, which is expected to open in spring 2012; a 68-bedroom hotel in King’s Lynn, Norfolk (pictured); a 71-bedroom hotel in Stevenage, Hertfordshire; and a 60-bedroom hotel in Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.

Travelodge was advised by Wright Smith Cole in Darlington, Carter Jonas in King’s Lynn and Stevenage, and Sandy Cameron and Co in Fort William.
