Tim Treadwell has left the residential investment team at Knight Frank to help expand Willmott Residential’s rental development business.
He has been appointed director of transactions at be:here, Willmott’s PRS development arm.
Treadwell joined Knight Frank as a partner in mid-2014. Before this he spent three years at British Land, most recently working in its residential division.
James Mannix, Knight Frank’s head of residential capital markets, said: “It’s a good opportunity for Tim and it’s great to have a valued team member joining what will be a major player in the PRS.”
Willmott Residential is the residential arm of Willmott Dixon. It was announced at the end of last year that it would be spun out as a sister company, with ex-Berkeley financial director Nic Simpkin as chief executive.
In an exclusive interview with Estates Gazette, Simpkin said that PRS was going to be a major part of its model going forward.
Willmott Residential has also appointed Rick Lawrence to Willmott Partnership Homes, its regeneration specialist.
Lawrence will join as its new partnerships director. He was previously director of public sector new business at Telereal Trillium.
In a statement the company said it is targeting an increase in joint venture opportunities with public bodies.
