Trevor Morgan leaves Morgan Pepper and creates consultancy

One of the City’s best-known agents has left the firm he created.

Trevor Morgan (pictured), who founded Morgan Pepper with David Pepper in 1986, is going into business as a principal.

The 50-year-old has set up Morgan Consulting, which will advise clients on investment, development and agency in the City, but will also take stakes in deals jointly with clients.

Morgan said: “I want to get involved as a principal rather than solely as an agent and now is a good time.”

Pepper and Morgan built the firm into one of the leading niche City agencies. Pepper retired two years ago and Morgan’s departure leaves Shaun Gorvin, Tim Davies, Mike Pope and Jeremy Trice as the remaining partners.

Last year, Morgan Pepper recruited Colin Hyder and Richard Harraby – former Kinney Green equity partners – to head a new asset management advisory firm, Morgan Pepper Professional Services.

The main firm will continue to be called Morgan Pepper.
