The Restaurant Group, owner of the Frankie & Benny’s and Wagamama chains, has said it will “carefully consider” a rival bid for its business from the owner of Pizza Express.
The group confirmed yesterday that Wheel Topco, the vehicle behind Pizza Express, had asked for due diligence information as it considers making a rival offer.
TRG has already recommended a 65p-per share offer from Apollo Global Management.
