Tri7 gets ball rolling on Manchester PBSA site

Tri7 has filed an environmental impact assessment application (EIA) to develop a 40-storey purpose-built student accommodation tower in Manchester.

The developer acquired the site at 10-12 Whitworth Street West out of administration for £16m in August 2024.

It has prior planning consent for a 35-storey tower consisting of 327 homes, set in a vacant site in Manchester city centre.

Tri7 has filed the EIA alongside its JV partner Fusion Students.

The duo’s previous schemes include a mixed-use student housing and social home scheme in Wood Green, North London, an 807-bed purpose-built student accommodation-led scheme in Leeds and a 541-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
