Tributes paid to Barton Willmore partner Robin Meakins

Robin Meakins, partner at planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore, died on 14 November following a short battle with cancer. He was 47.

Mark Sitch, senior partner at the firm, described Meakins as “a good friend, a great planner and a very talented and impressive partner of the practice”.

He joined Barton Willmore’s Reading office in 2003 and moved to the London office as partner five years later. He advised major investors and developers across a variety of projects.

Sitch said: “While his professional achievements and contributions are widely known, he will be remembered by all who knew him for his love of his family, his no-nonsense commercial views and an incredible sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by all.”

The firm has asked that anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory does so to the British Liver Trust.
