Five more retailers have signed up to Trinity Walk in Wakefield, the 500,000 sq ft shopping centre being delivered by Sovereign Land, AREA Property Partners and Shepherd Construction.
Clintons is taking a two-storey, 6,300 sq ft shop within the centre’s main shopping mall. Costa Coffee has signed up for a 1,300 sq ft, single-storey corner chop with outdoor seating opposite Debenhams, and Esquires has taken a single-storey, 1,200 sq ft shop, also with outdoor seating, at the entrance facing the city’s new Market Hall.
Shoe retailer Deichmann and fashion accessory store Bijou Brigitte have signed up for 6,600 sq ft and 800 sq ft shops respectively, both in the Teall Street mall.
Trinity Walk will open this spring, the first of three major new shopping centres set to open this year. Its line-up also includes a 96,000 sq ft Debenhams, a 117,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s, fashion retailers H&M, New Look, Next, River Island, Peacocks, Topshop, Topman, Republic, JD, Bank, Dorothy Perkins and Burtons, as well as Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Menkind, Game and others.
Max La Frenais, leasing director at Sovereign Land, joint developer and development manager of Trinity Walk, said: “This is a great way to start the year. We have some exciting new tenants interested in the few remaining units and will continue to push forward with lettings as we lead up to opening this spring. This latest tranche of deals is a further endorsement of the development and is great news for both our scheme and the city.”
