Harrison Street has bolstered its European investment team with the appointment of former Octopus Real Estate investment director Jose de Pablo as its new director of acquisitions for healthcare.
De Pablo was at Octopus for more than five years, having joined from Colliers International in 2015. He spent more than three years at Colliers as a director in its healthcare team.
Prior to this he held senior positions at Marcol Group and Sunrise Senior Living.
The investment manager has also recruited Round Hill Capital’s former finance manager Yasin Ismaill to be its new vice president of finance and has brought in Philip Wedge-Bernal, a former associate director in the EMEA living research team at JLL, as an assistant vice president in its European research team.
Prior to joining Round Hill, Ismail served as head of financial planning and analysis at Global Student Accommodation and has held roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Harrison Street’s European business chief executive Paul Bashir said: “Jose brings a proven track record of success as a healthcare investor to Harrison Street and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team. As we continue to expand Harrison Street’s healthcare real estate investing expertise across Europe, we are eager to leverage Jose’s deep relationships within the European healthcare market.
“We are also excited to welcome Yasin and Philip to the firm as their significant industry experience will enable Harrison Street to further expand our investment and diligence capabilities.”
