US presidential hopeful Donald Trump met with defeat at the UK Supreme Court today, as his company failed in a bid to block a major offshore wind farm close to its Aberdeenshire golf resort.
Trump International Gold Club Scotland had claimed that a decision by Scottish ministers to grant consent to a wind turbine project in Aberdeen Bay, 3.5km from its Menie Golf Course, was unlawful.
The Scottish courts had previously rejected Trump’s claim and the Supreme Court has now also unanimously dismissed it.
