US tycoon Donald Trump is planning to build a Trump Tower in Berlin. His company Trump Organization has created a joint venture with local company Marseilles Kliniken, called TD Trump Deutschland.
According to George Ross, director in charge of the Berlin project: “We hope to identify a site within the next 18 months. The city is undergoing a major transformation and will become established as one of the major European centres.”
Height will not be the main characteristic of the Berlin version of the famous New York tower. According to Ross, the overall amount of offices that the project can provide is the key, not the number of storeys.
He added that the company could build similar projects in other German cities, but there are no firm plans as yet. Marseilles Kliniken is a property company, which focuses mainly on nursing homes and hospital development.
