Donald Trump’s Turnberry hotel has received a £110,000 tax rebate under an emergency bailout plan designed to benefit small businesses following an up to 400% rise in property taxes in Scotland.
The scheme was announced in February and was limited to businesses in the hospitality industry, although it applies to all areas of Scotland.
A review of the scheme has made recommendations to reform it, a spokesman for the Scottish government said.
