TSP picks up Farringdon office for flex expansion

TSP has acquired an office formerly owned by Lord Sugar as it expands its flex offering.

The real estate investor and asset manager has bought 79 Clerkenwell Road, EC1, for £5.75m from La Salle IM.

It plans to retrofit the 10,000 sq ft office and will target BREEAM Excellent and EPC A energy ratings.

The office block was formerly owned by Amsprop, Lord Sugar’s property investment company, before it was sold to LaSalle IM in 2006 in a £4.2m deal.

Once complete, the new office space will offer a podcast studio and wellness room aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

Zac Goodman, chief executive and founder of TSP, said: “79 Clerkenwell is a fantastic opportunity for TSP to further develop our flex offering. The asset will be operated like a clubhouse, with a house manager and incredible common amenities. As always, we will strive for the best possible sustainability accreditations and ensure that the building is in a better place following our acquisition.”

He added: “While market conditions are challenging, they also bring opportunity, and we believe the right product in the right location will continue to thrive in what is Europe’s most diverse and exciting city and we continue to actively seeking opportunities and grow our platform.”

TSP was advised by Michael Elliot in the transaction.
