TT Group has secured planning approval from Stoke-on-Trent City Council to convert Telecom House in Hanley into 99 homes.
The 103,000 sq ft, seven-storey former office building on Trinity Street was previously occupied by BT and is now vacant.
The scheme will convert the Telecom House into 24 studios, 61 one-bedroom apartments and 14 two-bedroom apartments.
Located in the city centre, the car-free development will feature 110 secure bicycle storage units and is within walking distance of the local bus network.
Fiona Johnson, senior asset manager at TT Group, said: “Planning approval ensures Telecom House can be revitalised, securing its future through the delivery of much-needed new homes. Ideally located in the city centre, the development will be car-free, with secure cycle storage and convenient access to local bus services meaning residents can benefit from greener transport options.”
The scheme forms part of TT Group’s wider development pipeline of more than 19,000 homes across the UK.
