Criterion Capital has signed Turkish chocolate company Mazlum Confectionery Products to Scotch House, Knightsbridge.
The company has signed for a 2,500 sq ft flagship store across the basement and ground floor of Scotch House on a 10-year lease. The store, located at 10 Brompton Road, will open by the end of this year.
Founded in 1924, Mazlum is a family-run business and this will be its first store outside Asia.
Zedwell hotel by Criterion Capital, which opened earlier this year, has the first floor of Scotch House.
Omar Aziz, director at Criterion Capital, said: “Mazlum’s arrival coincides with our major investment in elevating Knightsbridge Green – pedestrianising the area, enhancing the public realm, and with a view to introducing attractive alfresco dining spaces, alongside wider improvements to the streetscape for residents, workers, and visitors.”
Enes Pekerken, 4th generation director of Mazlum, said: “Expanding outside Asia for the first time is a huge milestone for our family business, and there could be no better place than London. Criterion Capital’s Knightsbridge Green estate is vibrant, international, and renowned for its quality – it’s the perfect setting for our brand.”
