Turkish Embassy buys in Dublin

Knight Frank Ireland has sold 5 Raglan Road, a period property in Dublin, to the Turkish Embassy for more than €5m (£4m).

The sale follows Nama’s appointment of Knight Frank Ireland as fixed receiver. The property was previously owned by Derek Quinaln.

The 10,054 sq ft commercial building is located in a conservation area at the corner of Dublin’s prestigious Elgin and Raglan roads.

The existing tenants, Avestus and AMROP, have already moved to new premises at Embassy House, Ballsbridge.

Ashley Tannam, office agency and tenant representation divisional director at Knight Frank Ireland, said: “We are delighted with the price achieved by this very desirable modernised period property. Its impressive condition, together with its being in one of Dublin city’s most prestigious and strategic locations, makes it an ideal property for acquisition by an embassy occupier.”
