Plans for a 47,000 sq ft leisure development in Ely have been submitted to East Cambridgeshire district council by Turnstone Estates.
The £16m Ely Leisure Village will include a six-screen Cineworld cinema, five restaurants and two drive-through fast food outlets.
If planning permission is granted then the company hopes to start construction work in late summer 2015 with the cinema/restaurants opening mid-2016.
Tim Deacon, development director at Turnstone Estates, said: “Ely Leisure Village will provide much-needed leisure and entertainment amenities for the city and a wide catchment area of east Cambridgeshire.”
Turnstone Estates is being advised by Carter Jonas and Wareing & Partners.
