TVR has announced it will close its factory in Blackpool within six months.
Union officials said the sports car maker had spoken of plans to “relocate” the plant but they did not know if this meant in the UK or overseas.
The news comes less than two years after Russian oligarch Nikolai Smolensky bought the company.
Meanwhile, unions at Peugeot are expected to announce a battle plan this week to convince the French company it does not need to close the Ryton plant, near Coventry.
