Uber co-founder backs $4.8m proptech fundraise

The co-founder of Uber’s VC firm is among a number of investors who have backed proptech company Proper’s fundraising round, which closed at $4.8m.

Expa set up by Uber co-founder Garret Camp, MetaProp, and Bling backed the accounting start-up, which provides accountancy software to PRS landlords.

Proper will use the funds to develop their tech offering.

Proper founder and chief executive Mark Rojas said: “Admittedly, property accounting doesn’t sound like a very sexy opportunity for disrupting a global market, but a taxi service didn’t sound sexy until Uber used it as an entry point for creating a global logistics network.”
