UBS appoints manager of £795m Triton Fund

UBS Global Asset Management has appointed Howard Meaney as manager of the £795m UBS Triton Property Fund. Meaney joins from LV= Asset Management (formerly Liverpool Victoria), where he was head of property investments and managed five UK funds with a combined £750m of assets.

Meaney will report to UBS’ head of global real estate, UK, Anthony Shayle.

Shayle said: “We are delighted Howard has joined UBS. His track record and experience in UK real estate and fund management makes him an excellent fit into our existing UK capabilities.”

The Triton Property Fund was established in 1994 and is a balanced fund containing a mixture of retail, industrial, commercial and leisure properties.

The vehicle was previously managed by Justin Brown, who was hired by asset management giant BlackRock in July as managing director of the company’s real estate team.
