UBS Asset Management’s real estate debt funds have placed first and second for sustainability in the inaugural GRESB Debt Survey.

The survey measures factors such as management, policy, risks, monitoring and opportunities to define the sustainability of debt investment funds globally.

The survey joins the GRESB survey published in September, which acts as a benchmark for green and sustainable real estate investing.

The UBS Participating Real Estate Mortgage Fund and the open-ended debt fund from the US arm of the business had already placed well in the September survey.

The placing in the debt survey made them the only two funds to achieve top quadrant performance in the scoring matrix.
