Union Bank of Switzerland are close to completing the subletting of 83,000 sq ft in their 380,000-sq ft building at Broadgate phase three, having reached agreement with London & Scottish Marine Oil on 55,000 sq ft. The asking rent was £55 per sq ft. It is understood that UBS are currently in discussions with a firm of American lawyers to take a further 12,500 sq ft.
Meanwhile, Den Danske Bank have taken 12,000 sq ft on the seventh floor of the UBS building. Den Danske have disposed of their lease of 5,100 sq ft at 44 Bishopsgate, EC2, to adjoining occupiers Close Brothers.
LASMO’s offices at 140 London Wall, EC2, comprising 25,000 sq ft on four floors, are available at a passing rent of £31 per sq ft and a small premium of some £50,000. One floor is already under offer.
