U+I has received planning consent to develop a £200m industrial scheme on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
It will deliver an 800,000 sq ft flexible warehouse and office scheme on the 30-acre vacant site, which is expected to provide 4,000 jobs.
Development will incorporate a parked landscape and a water feature, with a cafe and amenity space. It is located 3.5 miles outside the town centre on former green belt land.
The developer is in advanced discussions with a potential occupier to take a significant part of the scheme.
Chief development officer Richard Upton said: “With demand for office and industrial space far outstripping supply, Kingstanding will attract firms from a range of backgrounds to a workspace inspired by the outdoors and fit for the modern era.”
