UK house prices rose by the most in a year in February, boosted by a rebound in London property prices, figures from Acadata and LSL show.
The average price rose by 0.6% on the month to £297,832. On the year, however, price growth slowed to 2.4%, its lowest since 2013.
The average London home price rose by 0.4%, but the market there continues to face challenges, Acadata said. It noted that the on-year rise in prices was the lowest in nearly five years, while transaction levels have dropped sharply.
