UK house prices up 0.5% in July

The average UK house price rose by 0.5% in July to £205,715, figures from Nationwide showed. On the year, growth edged up to 5.2% from 5.1% in June.

He noted an unusually uncertain outlook, and said the economic uncertainty could lead to weaker demand for homes in the near term.
