UK house prices rose by 8.3% on the year in July, to £217,000, figures from the Office for National Statistics showed.
While the 8.3% increase is a slowdown from the prior month’s 9.7% rise, it is still the third highest increase this year.
In London, house prices rose by 12.3% on the year to £485,000.
