‘UK out of red by 2019’ says Osborne

Houses-of-Parliament-Westminster-THUMB.gifAutumn Statement 2014:  Chancellor George Osborne has forecast that the UK will be out of the deficit by 2019.

Delivering his autumn statement, Osborne told the House of Commons that the deficit has fallen year-on-year and that it now stood at half what the government had inherited.

Osborne said borrowing had been lower than predicted in previous budgets.
