Carter Jonas has secured a four-year mandate with UK Power Networks, which owns and maintains electricity substations, cables and power lines across London, the South East and the East of England.
The framework contract, which has an extension option for a further three years, is associated with three lots in the operator’s network, with Carter Jonas’ team tasked to identify, develop and deal with consents associated with the construction or modification of buildings and the installation of underground cables or overhead lines across private land.
Carter Jonas will be involved with a range of schemes from conception through to the construction and closure of projects. The firm will work closely with UK Power Networks to assist in securing consents on the electricity distribution network.
Giles Lister, partner for infrastructure at Carter Jonas, said: “We have been awarded this contract supporting UK Power Networks on its 2023-2028 business plan. Our selection for this contract is a testament to our reputation for delivering solutions across multiple sectors, helping our clients achieve their net zero goals and aspirations.”
