UKAA appoints operations and marketing director

The UK Apartment Association has appointed Graham Sibley as operations and marketing director.

Sibley will head all UKAA operations, covering purpose-built, build-to-rent, single-family rental, co-living and later living sectors.

He will deliver a programme of conferences, webinars and seminars, and provide the base for the UKAA to influence government on behalf of the BTR sector.

Sibley will work closely with chief executive Brendan Geraghty, whose focus will be on strategic matters and presenting the voice of BTR in 2024 and beyond.

He joins UKAA from Building Strategies, where he was a director. Prior to that, Sibley was senior sector lead specialist at the National House Building Council.

Geraghty said: “We have a busy year ahead, with the delivery of the Build to Rent Code of Practice, the rebranding of the UKAA to reflect the scale of the sector and the progression of the UKAA Manifesto.

“Graham’s wealth of experience from within the UKAA and beyond will ensure sound operational management at this important time in the organisation’s growth.”

Sibley added: “I am excited to be joining the UKAA at such a key time for the organisation and for the purpose-built accommodation sectors that its work covers. Increasingly, such accommodation is delivering value for investors, developers and residents alike, making it an essential component of the UK’s housing mix going forward – as well as numerous overseas markets.”
