UKCPT buys Glasgow’s Cineworld in £29.2m deal

UK Commercial Property Trust has bought Glasgow’s Cineworld, which at more than 200ft high is the world’s highest cinema, in a £29.2m deal.

The cinema purchase is part of a wider deal that includes three other leisure units. UKCPT said the annual rent from the scheme totaled some £1.66m, and had potential to rise.

UKCPT has also bought the Central Square office building in Newcastle, paying £21.6m. Its annual rent totals £1.45m.
