Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield appoints chief customer officer

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has named Caroline Puechoultres as its new chief customer officer, effective from 15 July.

Puechoultres will join the landlord from grocery giant Carrefour, where she was the sales and strategy director for more than two years. She was also a member of the company’s senior management committee in France.

She has also worked at Club Med, where she managed the Club Med Asia Pacific business as a chief executive based in Singapore,  as well as Procter & Gamble, Intermarché and Tiscali.

In her new role, Puechoultres will be responsible for growing URW’s business and consumer offering by strengthening the company’s commercial partnerships with brands and retailers, further leveraging data analytics, developing media revenues and expanding omnichannel services including click and collect and curbside delivery.

She is also tasked with “driving innovation” and strengthening URW’s marketing and branding.

The hire comes after URW rejigged its leadership structure in January. Michel Dessolain, who served as interim chief customer officer, will take up a new role reporting to the chief executive and continue to serve as a permanent management board member.

Jean-Marie Tritant, chief executive of URW, said: “It is critical for URW to better understand evolving consumer preferences, digital opportunities and to leverage the audience at our assets so we can drive growth as well as capitalise on the ongoing disruption of the retail industry.

“Caroline’s expertise will help us accelerate the customer-centric transformation already underway at URW, and ensure we continue to create quality experiences, meet and exceed customer expectations, and strengthen the Westfield brand.”
