Unilever plans to close 100 plants

Unilever intends to close 100, or just under a third, of its plants worldwide at a cost of £3.3bn.

Up to 400 core brands including Dove, Lux, Lipton, Calvin Klein and Oxo will remain, but the remainder will be sold or closed.

The company is also reducing its manufacturing base to 150 sites. Unilever currently has 27 plants in the UK, which of these facilities will be affected.
