Union Investment Institutional Property has appointed Hubertus Bäumer to its institutional property team.
He joins the company from insurance company Generali Immobilien Group where he was responsible for the launch and service of indirect investments as well as the development of fund products. Prior to that Bäumer was senior investment manager for real estate and infrastructure investments in Cologne and Milan at General Immobilien Verwaltung in Cologne and a member of the management board of Generali Europe Income Holding Luxembourg.
In his new position he will support Union Investment’s institutional property team, headed by Christoph Schumacher, and will oversee product development, expansion of the client base and customer service.
Union Investment institutional property manages investments worth €3.2bn.
