Unite Students and Artisan Real Estate have received planning consent for a mixed-use scheme in Abbey Lane, Edinburgh.
The development comprises 298 student bedrooms and 66 student flats on a former industrial estate near London Road.
Unite acquired the option to purchase the £24m scheme in July.
Nick Hayes, group property director at Unite, said: “Edinburgh has an undersupply of purpose-built student accommodation and we are confident that this development will further improve the vibrant Abbeyhill area of the city.”
