PODCAST: United House Developments and Poplar HARCA have signed an agreement to build a £300m mixed-use scheme on Chrisp Street, E14.
The pair will submit Sheppard Robson-designed plans later this year for around 750 homes, 250,000 sq ft of shops – including a new food shopping district – and a cinema.
The proposals, which centre around the market square, are the latest phase in a major regeneration of Poplar.
Rick de Blaby, chief executive of United House Developments, talks to Estates Gazette about the plans and how he is experiencing life after stepping down from his role at the helm of MEPC last year.
