United House has been chosen to deliver a major £130m mixed-use regeneration project in the heart of Finsbury Park.
Business Design Centre Group’s owners, City North Islington Holdings, has teamed up with United House to form a joint venture company known as United House City North.
United House will act as joint developer and contractor on the project, which will be the largest regeneration scheme in Islington since the Arsenal Stadium project.
It will comprise 308 one- to four-bedroom private apartments in a development designed by architects Benson & Forsyth, including two striking 21-storey towers.
The development will also include 47 affordable homes and 116,000 sq ft of retail, restaurant, leisure and office space.
A start on site is expected in the spring of 2013, with completion in 2016.
Jeffrey Adams, chief executive of United House, said: “United House has an outstanding track record for handling complex regeneration sites in inner London and we are delighted to have been chosen by City North Islington to deliver this scheme with them. The combination of private and affordable homes, shops, restaurants and offices will bring new focus to Finsbury Park.”
