United Wholesale Mortgage will broaden the availability of interest-free mortgages from next month.
The company’s chief executive, Mat Ishbia, says it is bringing back the higher risk product in the right way. Borrowers will have to meet a range of criteria and will need to have a 20% deposit.
Investors who sign up for the product will have to start paying down the debt after 10 years.
