Untold Living has appointed Ed Aldridge as planning director as the later-living developer targets a £300m development pipeline.
Aldridge joins from Castleoak Developments, where he spent a decade as a chartered surveyor.
At Untold, he will be responsible for accelerating the growth and delivery of the firm’s pipeline as it seeks to acquire sites across the UK to expand its portfolio.
Backed by Matter Real Estate, Untold Living has secured two sites in Crawley, West Sussex, and Newport, Shropshire, where it plans to deliver later-living schemes.
The site will deliver between 100 and 120 homes, comprising apartments and bungalows.
Aldridge said: “Untold Living is flying the flag for Britain’s later-living sector. Britain’s population of older people is projected to grow rapidly, so it is critical we deliver the required volume of purpose-built retirement homes today to meet the demand of tomorrow.”
Russell Jewell, chief executive of Untold Living, said: “Since our launch in March this year, Untold Living has assembled an exciting pipeline of new schemes and Ed’s appointment will greatly enhance our capacity to deliver these and identify more exciting opportunities.”
