Following Amec’s letting of 25,000 sq ft to the DSS at The Anchorage, Salford Quays, Manchester, the 240,000-sq ft development is 45% occupied. Lambert Smith Hampton, joint letting agent with Grimley J R Eve, says: “This is the largest letting in the Quays this year; hopefully other Government requirements can be met here in the near future.”

Adminstrative receivers to Grovewood (LE) have put a £77.5m price tag on the Langham Estate, between Euston Road and Oxford Street, in the heart of London’s West End. The estate, which currently produces £7.17m, comprises 142 properties on 11 acres. Debenham Tewson & Chinnocks is selling agent on behalf of Price Waterhouse receivers Alan Barrett and Tony Lomas.
Cadbury has been given the go-ahead to build a 400,000-sq ft warehouse on a 20-acre site at Midpoint Park, Birmingham. Work begins on the £20m project during the next few weeks for completion in August 1993.
American Real Estate Group has sold a mixed-use development on the corner of California Street and Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, for $11.8m to an undisclosed Asian investor. The property consists of 85,000 sq ft of offices, 47 residential units and 200 car spaces. Knowlton Realty acted for the vendor.
