Minerva has bought a mixed commercial port-folio and a residential portfolio from Ladbroke Group for £25m in its first major deal since floating last year. The properties have a book value of £34.6m.

Pillar Property Investments has bought 16.2ha (40 acres) of land at Capability Green Business Park, Luton, where it has already developed 8.1ha (20 acres).

West Midlands-based AJ Mucklow has raised profits on the back of falling vacancy rates. Interim pre-tax profit was £5.85m for the six months to end-December (£5.05m) and the vacancy level fell from 44,592m2 (480,000 sq ft) to 39,018m2 (420,000 sq ft).

Ashquay is to develop a £20m scheme next to the new Second Severn Crossing at Magor in South Wales. The plan, a joint venture with with Whitbread Developments, will encompass 6.9ha (17 acres) of industrial land.
