Urban Decay to open at Meadowhall

Cosmetics-fashion-generic-THUMBL’Oréal-owned cosmetics brand Urban Decay has opened its first standalone store outside London at Meadowhall, Yorkshire.

The new 554 sq ft store, one of only four standalone Urban Decay stores in the UK, is located on The Arcade.

Richard Crowther, asset manager for British Land, owner of Meadowhall, said: “Urban Decay is a prominent international brand. Its decision reinforces our status as the region’s leading retail destination.”

British Land is to submit a planning application to create a £300m leisure extension at Meadowhall. Consultation takes place in early June and plans will be submitted in late summer. A £60m internal refurbishment of the centre is also underway and due to complete in 2017.
